Radio Seagull on air: Eddy Mann
I have always been fascinated by radio broadcasts and music as far back as I can remember. My first influence in radio came whilst living in Copenhagen (my favourite European city) with Radio Christiania.

Over a period of several years, I have been personally involved in setting up RSLs throughout the Manchester area - even taking out the license for our own local RSL broadcast from my own area of Manchester. Since then, I have been involved in community radio stations in my home town of Salford, England. Naturally, this has led to my current role with Salford City Radio.

I have always been interested in progressive and diverse music from all over the world. This interest has led to my attendance at many great rock events throughout the world. One of the highlights have been the 1969 Isle of Wight festival with Bob Dylan and the Stones in Hyde Park concert, during the same year when I was just in my teens.

Radio Seagull is a radio station that I have been listening to for quite a few years now, and an aspect of this station’s policy is to allow the presenters to create their own show. This gives us total freedom in our choice of music. The advantages are that listeners can hear music that is not restricted to a set play list. In particular, for musicians who wish to have their music played, this provides a platform for their songs to be heard.

I am very proud to be part of this great radio station. My show goes out every Saturday 11 am to 01 pm Central European time and is repeated every Monday morning between 3 and 5 am
to Thursday evening between 9 and 11 pm. It has a great variety of music; from world to classic rock as well as the lastest sounds coming from indie and alternative musicians. Enjoy!
